PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Our Nonionic Emulsifier is a high-performance water-soluble surfactant that does not ionize in aqueous solution, making it highly stable in the presence of acids, alkalis, salts and hard water. It is designed to reduce interfacial tension between oil and water phases, enabling the formation of stable oil-in-water or water-in-oil emulsions with fine droplet size and long shelf life.

With a balanced hydrophilic-lipophilic structure, it offers strong emulsifying power, excellent wetting ability and good dispersing performance. It is widely used as the key emulsifying component in emulsion polymerization, oil field chemicals, pesticide formulations, metalworking fluids, textile auxiliaries, cosmetics and household cleaning products. It helps customers build stable and consistent emulsion systems across different industrial applications.

Compared with anionic or cationic surfactants, this nonionic type shows better compatibility with other additives, lower irritation and less sensitivity to electrolytes and pH changes. It performs steadily under varying temperature and shear conditions, resisting demulsification and keeping droplet distribution uniform during long-term storage and transport.

In emulsion polymerization, it stabilizes monomer droplets and polymer particles, supporting smooth reaction control, high solid content and low coagulum. In pesticide formulations, it improves the emulsification of oil-soluble active ingredients, giving uniform spray dilution and better field performance.

The product is supplied as a clear to slightly yellowish liquid or paste depending on grade, easy to handle and dose. Every batch is tested for cloud point, HLB value, emulsifying performance, appearance and storage stability before delivery. Complete COA, TDS and MSDS documents are provided, and our technical team supports custom HLB adjustment to match your specific oil phase and application target.

POINTS FOR ATTENTION

ORDER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Confirm Grade and HLB Requirement Please tell us your oil phase type, application field, target emulsion type (O/W or W/O), water hardness and temperature range. We will recommend the most suitable grade and HLB value.
2. Confirm Quantity and Packaging Standard packaging includes 25 kg plastic drums, 200 L drums and IBC tanks. Custom labels, pallet packing and shipping marks are available for export orders.
3. Delivery and Logistics Please provide the delivery port or destination address. We will confirm lead time, loading plan and export documents before production.
4. Quality Assurance and After-sales Support Each batch is supplied with COA, TDS and MSDS. If emulsifying performance, cloud point or compatibility problems occur under recommended conditions, our technical team will assist with re-testing and grade adjustment.
Trial Order Tip:
For new customers, we recommend a small trial batch first to verify emulsion stability, droplet size and compatibility in your actual formulation before bulk order.
USAGE NOTES
Dosage Control:
Typical dosage is 1–5% depending on system type. Start from the lower level and increase gradually until the emulsion is stable. Overdosing may increase foam or affect final system properties.
Adding Method:
Dissolve or pre-blend the emulsifier in the water phase or oil phase first, then combine the two phases slowly under strong stirring. Adjust mixing speed and order according to emulsion type.
Emulsion Stability Test:
Before mass production, test emulsion stability under storage, heating and shear conditions. Observe droplet size, separation and viscosity change over time.
Compatibility Check:
Verify compatibility with other surfactants, salts, acids or alkalis in your system. Nonionic type usually works well, but confirm under actual conditions.
Storage Condition:
Keep sealed in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse at 5–35℃. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperature. Stir gently before use if long stored.
Safety Operation:
Wear gloves and protective glasses during handling. Avoid ingestion and direct contact with eyes. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.

Formula Guidance:
Choose NE-300 for emulsion polymerization, NE-200 for agrochemical EC/SC, NE-100 for metalworking and cleaning, NE-400 for oilfield/high-temperature, and NE-500 for cosmetics. Adjust HLB and dosage to match your oil phase for a stable emulsion.
COMMON PROBLEMS IN DOWNSTREAM PRODUCTION
Emulsion Separation or Creaming After Storage HLB value mismatches the oil phase, or the dosage is insufficient to maintain stable droplet structure. Solution: Adjust HLB to match your oil phase, increase emulsifier dosage gradually, and check mixing conditions.
Poor Emulsification of Oil-soluble Active Ingredients The emulsifier cannot sufficiently reduce interfacial tension between the oil and water phases. Solution: Use a blend of emulsifiers with different HLB values, or switch to the agrochemical grade with stronger oil-phase affinity.
Coagulum or Particle Growth in Polymerization Insufficient particle stabilization causes coagulum formation and unstable particle size. Solution: Use NE-300 polymerization grade, control monomer feeding rate and maintain stable reaction temperature.
Foam Problems During Mixing Some nonionic grades generate foam under strong stirring, affecting production efficiency. Solution: Add defoamer at a controlled dosage, or select a lower-foam grade and adjust mixing speed.
Cloud Point Too Low for Hot Processes At temperatures above the cloud point, the emulsion may become turbid or unstable. Solution: Select a high-cloud-point grade (NE-400) and verify the operating temperature range of your process.
Emulsion Breaks in High Salinity or Hard Water High electrolyte concentration may weaken the emulsifier film in some systems. Solution: Choose a salt-tolerant nonionic grade and adjust dosage; test with your actual water hardness.
Viscosity Instability in Final Product Overdosing or incompatible auxiliary additives may cause viscosity fluctuation. Solution: Control dosage precisely, check compatibility with thickeners and other additives in the formula.
Batch-to-Batch Performance Variation Changes in oil phase quality, water hardness or mixing conditions cause inconsistent emulsification. Solution: Keep raw material and process conditions stable, and run a quick emulsion test before each production batch.
