PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Circulating Water Scale Inhibitor (Power Plant Grade, Custom Blending) is a high-performance water treatment chemical designed to control scale formation, reduce corrosion and maintain heat transfer efficiency in industrial circulating water systems. It is specially formulated for power plant cooling towers, heat exchangers, boilers and closed-loop water systems where calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, silica and iron scale are common problems.

This product combines scale inhibition, dispersion, corrosion protection and stability control in one custom-blended formula. It works through threshold inhibition, crystal modification and dispersion of suspended particles, preventing mineral ions from forming hard deposits on heat exchange surfaces. Compared with conventional scale inhibitors, the power plant grade shows better thermal stability, wider pH tolerance and stronger resistance to high hardness, high alkalinity and high chloride water quality.

The circulating water scale inhibitor is suitable for once-through cooling systems, open recirculating cooling systems and closed industrial water systems. It can be used together with biocides, corrosion inhibitors and defoamers after compatibility confirmation. Proper dosage control helps reduce cleaning frequency, extend equipment service life and improve overall operational stability.

Every batch is tested for total phosphorus, pH value, density, viscosity, scale inhibition efficiency and corrosion rate before shipment. We provide complete export documents including COA, TDS and SDS(MSDS) for quality traceability and customs compliance. Our technical team can customize the formula according to your water quality index, system temperature, hardness, alkalinity and destination country regulations.

POINTS FOR ATTENTION

ORDER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Confirm Water Quality and System Condition Please inform us of your circulating water quality, hardness, alkalinity, chloride, temperature, system material and operating pressure. We will recommend the most suitable grade and custom formula.
2. Trial Sample and Laboratory Evaluation We can provide trial samples for scale inhibition test, corrosion test and compatibility evaluation. Customers may test CaCO₃ scale inhibition, Ca₃(PO₄)₂ stabilization and corrosion rate under simulated conditions. Simplified SDS and sample COA will be supplied with samples.
3. Confirm Packaging, Quantity and Export Terms Available in 25 kg drum, 200 L drum and IBC tank. Custom shipping marks and pallet reinforcement available. Quotation under FOB / CIF / DDP is acceptable. Standard export data: HS Code 3824.9999, CAS No. 7601-54-9 (reference), EINECS 231-566-5 (reference), non-hazardous. Required customs documents: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, COA and SDS(MSDS).
4. Delivery and After-sales Technical Support Each batch is supplied with COA, TDS and SDS. Our technical team supports dosage optimization, compatibility testing, on-site dosing guidance and formula adjustment, and assists with import declaration information for destination ports.
Trial Order Tip:
For new customers, we recommend a small trial batch first to verify circulating water scale inhibitor performance under actual system conditions and pre-review export documents before bulk order.
USAGE NOTES
Dosage Control:
The recommended dosage is 3–15 ppm depending on water quality and system conditions. Start from lower dosage and adjust according to scale inhibition test results and field monitoring data.
Dosing Method:
Use continuous dosing with metering pump. Dilute with clean water if required and ensure uniform mixing at the dosing point. Avoid direct mixing with strong acid or strong alkali chemicals without compatibility confirmation.
Compatibility Check:
Before mass use, test compatibility with biocides, corrosion inhibitors, defoamers and other additives. Observe precipitation, foam change and corrosion rate. For EU export, REACH SVHC screening is suggested.
Process Condition Consideration:
Adjust dosage according to makeup water quality, cycles of concentration, temperature and flow rate. High hardness, high alkalinity and high temperature systems may require higher dosage or special grade.
Storage & Sea Freight Guidance:
Keep sealed in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse at 5–35℃. Avoid direct sunlight, freezing and long-time high temperature inside sea containers. It is non-dangerous goods for shipping.
Safety Operation:
Wear gloves and protective goggles during handling. Avoid ingestion and direct eye contact. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical help if irritation persists.

Formula Guidance:
Use CW-100 for standard cooling water, CW-200 for high hardness and high alkalinity water, CW-300 for boiler systems, CW-400 for RO pretreatment and CW-500 for corrosion and scale dual control. Dosage should be verified by static scale inhibition test and on-site monitoring.
COMMON PROBLEMS IN DOWNSTREAM PRODUCTION
Scale Still Forms on Heat Exchanger Surface Insufficient dosage, wrong formula, high cycles of concentration or unsuitable pH may cause scale deposition. Solution: Re-analyze water quality, select matching grade, adjust dosage and control cycles of concentration.
Corrosion Rate Increases After Adding Scale Inhibitor Incompatible formula, low pH, wrong material compatibility or overdosing may lead to corrosion risk. Solution: Use CW-500 dual function grade, verify corrosion rate and adjust pH and inhibitor program.
Calcium Phosphate Scale in High Alkalinity Water Poor phosphate stabilization in high hardness and high alkalinity water causes Ca₃(PO₄)₂ scale. Solution: Use CW-200 high hardness grade, increase phosphate stabilization component and optimize pH.
Foam and Emulsion Problems in Dosing System Poor compatibility with biocides or other additives may cause foam, precipitation or emulsion. Solution: Conduct compatibility test before full use, separate dosing points and select defoamer if needed.
Heat Transfer Efficiency Drops Gradually Fouling, biological growth and scale deposition reduce heat exchanger performance over time. Solution: Combine scale inhibitor with biocide and corrosion inhibitor program, monitor ΔP and heat transfer coefficient.
Unstable Dosage Control in Continuous Dosing Metering pump fluctuation, dilution water change or improper dosing point causes unstable effect. Solution: Calibrate metering pump, keep dilution water quality stable and install static mixer at dosing point.
Customs Detention Due to Mismatched Documents Incorrect HS code, CAS number or SDS information triggers inspection and detention at destination ports. Solution: Confirm destination country regulations before order. Standard export data: HS Code 3824.9999, CAS No. 7601-54-9 (reference), EINECS 231-566-5 (reference), non-hazardous. We supply consistent full-set SDS / COA documents.
Batch-to-Batch Performance Variation Changes in water quality, operating conditions or formula stability cause inconsistent scale inhibition results. Solution: Standardize circulating water scale inhibitor grade and dosage, monitor water quality and test each incoming batch.
