PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Calcined Kaolin is a high-quality industrial mineral product obtained through controlled calcination of natural kaolin clay. After high-temperature heat treatment, the crystalline structure is adjusted, resulting in improved whiteness, low abrasion, excellent dispersibility and stable chemical properties. It is widely used as functional filler and processing aid in ceramics, refractories, coatings, plastics, rubber, paper and composite materials.

Compared with uncalcined kaolin, calcined kaolin offers better brightness, lower moisture absorption, higher thermal stability and improved covering power. It can reduce sintering deformation in ceramics, enhance corrosion resistance in refractories, improve hiding power in coatings, and increase stiffness and dimensional stability in plastics and rubber.

Our calcined kaolin is produced under strict calcination temperature control, followed by grinding, classification and iron removal processing. It is available in different particle size fractions to meet customer process requirements. Each batch is inspected for whiteness, particle size, loss on ignition, pH value, abrasion and impurity content before shipment.

We provide complete export documents including COA, TDS and SDS for quality traceability and customs compliance. Our technical team can recommend the most suitable grade and dosage according to your application, production process, material system and destination country regulations.

POINTS FOR ATTENTION

ORDER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Confirm Application and Process Requirements Please inform us of your application field, downstream product, production process, particle size requirement, whiteness target and dosage range. We will recommend the most suitable calcined kaolin grade.
2. Trial Sample and Laboratory Evaluation We can provide trial samples for formulation test, dispersion evaluation and performance verification. Customers may test whiteness, particle size, settling behavior and compatibility with their material system. Sample COA and SDS will be attached.
3. Confirm Packaging, Quantity and Export Terms Standard packing: 25kg bag / carton, 50kg bag, IBC jumbo bag. Custom shipping marks and pallet reinforcement available. Quotation under FOB / CIF / DDP is acceptable. Standard export data: HS Code 3824.9999, non-hazardous. Required customs documents: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, COA and SDS.
4. Delivery and After-sales Technical Support Each batch is supplied with COA, TDS and SDS. Our technical team supports grade selection, dosage adjustment, dispersion optimization and process guidance, and assists with import declaration information for destination ports.
Trial Order Tip:
For new customers, we recommend a small trial batch first to verify calcined kaolin performance in your actual production system and pre-review export documents before bulk order.
USAGE NOTES
Dosage Control:
The recommended dosage varies by application, typically from 5% to 40%. Start from lower dosage and adjust according to formulation test and production result.
Dispersion Operation:
Add calcined kaolin gradually into the matrix under stirring or grinding. Control dispersion time and shear intensity to avoid particle agglomeration.
Compatibility Check:
Before mass production, test compatibility with resins, polymers, pigments, additives and other fillers. Observe viscosity change, dispersion stability and final product performance.
Process Condition Consideration:
Adjust grade and dosage according to particle size distribution, processing temperature, moisture and final product specification. Fine grades usually require more careful dispersion.
Storage & Sea Freight Guidance:
Keep sealed in a dry, cool and ventilated warehouse. Avoid moisture, rain and direct sunlight. It is non-dangerous goods for shipping.
Safety Operation:
Wear dust mask, gloves and goggles during handling. Avoid inhaling dust. If splashed into eyes, rinse with plenty of clean water immediately.

COMMON PROBLEMS IN DOWNSTREAM PRODUCTION
Whiteness Not Meeting Requirement High iron content, improper calcination or contamination during handling may reduce whiteness. Solution: Select low-iron grade, verify calcination quality and avoid contamination in production.
Poor Dispersion and Agglomeration Insufficient grinding, low shear force or unsuitable particle size causes agglomerates and uneven dispersion. Solution: Increase dispersion time, optimize grinding condition and use surface-treated grade if required.
Reduced Mechanical Strength in Plastics/Rubber Poor interface adhesion, excessive dosage or unsuitable particle size may reduce composite strength. Solution: Reduce dosage, use surface-treated grade and improve interface compatibility.
High Abrasion in Processing Equipment Hard impurities or unsuitable particle size increase wear on extruders, mixers and molds. Solution: Select low abrasion grade, control particle size and improve iron removal processing.
Ceramic Sintering Deformation Unstable mineral composition, improper calcination or wrong body formula may cause deformation. Solution: Use stable ceramic grade, adjust body formula and control sintering curve.
Coating Viscosity Too High Fine particle size, high surface area and excessive addition may increase coating viscosity. Solution: Reduce dosage, select coarser grade and optimize dispersant system.
Customs Detention Due to Mismatched Documents Incorrect HS code or SDS information triggers inspection and detention at destination ports. Solution: Confirm destination country regulations before order. Standard export data: HS Code 3824.9999, non-hazardous. We supply consistent full-set SDS / COA documents.
Batch Performance Variation Changes in raw mineral, calcination temperature or grinding condition cause inconsistent results. Solution: Standardize production process, inspect whiteness and particle size per batch, and stabilize incoming raw material.
