PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

Corrosion Inhibitor is a high-performance industrial chemical designed to protect metal surfaces from corrosion in water systems, pipelines, heat exchangers, storage tanks and production equipment. It works by forming a thin, stable protective film on metal surfaces, blocking electrochemical corrosion reactions and reducing contact between corrosive media and the base metal.

This product is widely used in power plant circulating water, oil and gas production, refinery processing, chemical industry, marine engineering, central air conditioning and metal processing industries. It is particularly effective against carbon steel corrosion, pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and microbial corrosion under complex water quality and operating conditions.

The Corrosion Inhibitor series includes liquid and solid formulations, suitable for different system materials, temperatures, pH ranges and chloride levels. It can be used together with scale inhibitors, biocides and dispersants after compatibility confirmation. Proper dosage control reduces corrosion rate, extends equipment service life, improves operational reliability and lowers maintenance costs.

Every batch is tested for corrosion inhibition efficiency, pH value, density, viscosity, solid content and compatibility before shipment. We provide complete export documents including COA, TDS and SDS(MSDS) for quality traceability and customs compliance. Our technical team can recommend the most suitable grade and formula according to your system material, operating temperature, water quality and destination country regulations.

POINTS FOR ATTENTION

ORDER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Confirm System Condition and Corrosion Target Please inform us of your system material, operating temperature, water quality, chloride level, corrosion type and protection target. We will recommend the most suitable Corrosion Inhibitor grade and formula.
2. Trial Sample and Laboratory Evaluation We can provide trial samples for corrosion inhibition test, compatibility evaluation and field trial. Customers may test corrosion rate, film forming performance and compatibility with other additives. Simplified SDS and sample COA will be supplied with samples.
3. Confirm Packaging, Quantity and Export Terms Liquid: 25 kg drum, 200 L drum, IBC tank; solid: 25 kg bag / carton. Custom shipping marks and pallet reinforcement available. Quotation under FOB / CIF / DDP is acceptable. Standard export data: HS Code 3824.9999, CAS No. 7601-54-9 (reference), EINECS 231-566-5 (reference), non-hazardous. Required customs documents: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, COA and SDS(MSDS).
4. Delivery and After-sales Technical Support Each batch is supplied with COA, TDS and SDS. Our technical team supports dosage optimization, compatibility testing, on-site dosing guidance and formula adjustment, and assists with import declaration information for destination ports.
Trial Order Tip:
For new customers, we recommend a small trial batch first to verify Corrosion Inhibitor performance under actual system conditions and pre-review export documents before bulk order.
USAGE NOTES
Dosage Control:
The recommended dosage is 3–20 ppm depending on system material, temperature, water quality and corrosion level. Start from lower dosage and adjust according to corrosion test results and field monitoring data.
Dosing Method:
Use continuous dosing with metering pump. Dilute with clean water if required and ensure uniform mixing at the dosing point. Avoid direct mixing with strong acid or strong alkali chemicals without compatibility confirmation.
Compatibility Check:
Before mass use, test compatibility with scale inhibitors, biocides, dispersants and other additives. Observe precipitation, foam change and corrosion rate. For EU export, REACH SVHC screening is suggested.
Process Condition Consideration:
Adjust dosage according to temperature, chloride, pH, flow rate and system material. High temperature, high chloride and low pH conditions may require special grade or higher dosage.
Storage & Sea Freight Guidance:
Keep sealed in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse at 5–35℃. Avoid direct sunlight, freezing and incompatible chemicals. It is non-dangerous goods for shipping.
Safety Operation:
Wear gloves and protective goggles during handling. Avoid ingestion and direct eye contact. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical help if irritation persists.

Formula Guidance:
Use CI-100 for standard circulating water, CI-200 for oil and gas, CI-300 for refinery, CI-400 for marine and high chloride systems, CI-500 for corrosion and scale dual control. Dosage should be verified by static corrosion test and on-site monitoring.
COMMON PROBLEMS IN DOWNSTREAM PRODUCTION
Corrosion Rate Still High After Dosing Insufficient dosage, wrong grade, high chloride, low pH or unsuitable material compatibility may reduce protection. Solution: Re-analyze system condition, select matching grade, adjust dosage and optimize pH control.
Localized Pitting Corrosion Poor film formation, differential aeration, microbial activity or uneven inhibitor distribution causes pitting. Solution: Improve dosing uniformity, add biocide if needed, select pitting-resistant grade and monitor key points.
Scale Forms While Using Corrosion Inhibitor Some corrosion inhibitors may promote scale if formula is not balanced for hardness and alkalinity. Solution: Use CI-500 dual function grade, test water quality and combine with scale inhibitor if required.
Compatibility Problem with Other Additives Mixing corrosion inhibitor with scale inhibitor, biocide or flocculant without test may cause precipitation. Solution: Conduct jar test before full use, separate dosing points and adjust chemical order.
Film Formation Slow at Low Temperature Low temperature reduces inhibitor adsorption and film forming speed. Solution: Increase dosage slightly, extend contact time and use low-temperature resistant grade.
Corrosion Inhibitor Causes Foam or Emulsion Wrong formula, high turbulence or incompatible additives cause foam and emulsion problems. Solution: Select low-foam grade, test compatibility and add defoamer if necessary.
Customs Detention Due to Mismatched Documents Incorrect HS code, CAS number or SDS information triggers inspection and detention at destination ports. Solution: Confirm destination country regulations before order. Standard export data: HS Code 3824.9999, CAS No. 7601-54-9 (reference), EINECS 231-566-5 (reference), non-hazardous. We supply consistent full-set SDS / COA documents.
Batch-to-Batch Performance Variation Changes in water quality, operating conditions, temperature or dosing method cause inconsistent results. Solution: Standardize Corrosion Inhibitor grade and dosage, monitor corrosion rate and test each incoming batch.
