Our Toughening Modifier is a high-performance polymer impact additive developed to raise fracture toughness, impact strength and ductility of rigid matrix materials, without severely sacrificing tensile strength, heat resistance or processing flowability. It works by forming flexible micro-phase domains inside the base material, absorbing impact energy and stopping crack propagation when external force or low-temperature shock occurs.
This Toughening Modifier covers two major application tracks: engineering plastic compounding and dry-mix construction materials. For plastics, it improves low-temperature impact resistance for PP, PA, PC/ABS, PBT, PVC and filled reinforced systems. For mortar, grout and waterproof coatings, it increases flexibility, anti-crack performance and deformation tolerance under thermal cycling and substrate movement.
The product series includes powder and pellet grades with different grafting degrees and compatibility. It shows good interfacial bonding with most polymers, cement binders, cellulose ethers, RDP and mineral fillers. When dosed properly, it reduces brittleness, lowers cracking risk and stabilizes long-term mechanical performance.
Every batch of Toughening Modifier is inspected for melt index, particle size, impact boosting efficiency and dispersion stability before shipment. Full export documents including COA, TDS and SDS(MSDS) are provided for customs clearance and quality traceability. Our technical team can match the best grade and dosage according to your base material, working temperature and target mechanical indicators, as well as destination country compliance rules.

POINTS FOR ATTENTION
For new customers, we recommend a small trial batch first to verify Toughening Modifier performance on your production line and pre-review export documents before bulk order.
The recommended dosage of the Toughening Modifier is 1–8% based on different systems. Excessive addition may reduce rigidity, heat distortion temperature or surface hardness. Start low and raise dosage after mechanical testing.
For plastic extrusion/compounding: feed together with resin and filler at twin-screw. For dry mortar: mix uniformly with all dry powder components before water addition.
Before mass production, test the Toughening Modifier with antioxidants, stabilizers, pigments, cellulose ethers and RDP. Observe dispersion, surface quality and mechanical retention. For EU export, REACH SVHC screening is suggested.
For plastic systems, adjust extrusion temperature and shear strength to guarantee uniform dispersion. For mortar, avoid over-mixing which may damage polymer structure.
Keep the Toughening Modifier sealed in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse at 5–35℃. Avoid moisture, compression and long-time high temperature inside sea containers. It is non-dangerous goods for shipping.
Wear gloves and protective goggles during handling. Avoid inhalation of fine powder, ingestion and direct eye contact. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical help if irritation persists.
