PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Our wetting agent is a high-performance, low-foam surfactant formulated to rapidly reduce dynamic surface tension within aqueous systems. It delivers fast spreading and penetrating power over hydrophobic substrates, eliminating common coating defects such as fisheyes, craters, crawling and uneven leveling, while maintaining excellent compatibility with acrylic emulsions, polyurethane dispersions, thickeners, dispersants and most pigment slurries. It requires low dosage and creates minimal interference on film gloss, hardness, water resistance and final storage stability of finished formulas. Strict batch-to-batch quality control ensures consistent performance for continuous industrial production. This additive serves as a core functional ingredient across multiple downstream manufacturing chains. In architectural coating production, it supports interior latex paint, exterior wall coatings, texture stucco and waterproof primers, helping paint manufacturers achieve uniform coverage on porous cement, gypsum board and aged wall surfaces, improving construction smoothness and final decorative effect. For industrial coatings, it works in metal anti-corrosion coatings, plastic part coatings, furniture wood stains and automotive refinish waterborne paints, solving wetting difficulties on low-surface-energy substrates including PP, PE and polished metal. Within printing and packaging industries, it is widely adopted in water-based flexo inks, gravure inks and digital inkjet inks for food packaging, paper bags and label printing, stabilizing ink droplet spreading, reducing nozzle clogging and improving color uniformity on coated paper, film and composite substrates. In textile finishing and dyeing factories, it accelerates dye penetration into fiber structures for woven fabrics, nonwovens and synthetic textiles, lowering color speck and waste rate during continuous dyeing and bleaching lines. It also acts as a spreading adjuvant for agrochemical formulations, enabling pesticide and foliar fertilizer droplets to spread evenly on waxy leaf surfaces and enhance absorption efficiency. Other typical downstream finished products include water-based adhesives, paper coating slips, synthetic leather surface treatment liquids and low-VOC household cleaning concentrates. Custom grades can be developed for low-VOC, food-contact and high-speed roller-coating scenarios, with stable supply capacity supporting long-term OEM and formula cooperation for global additive formulators and finished-product factories.

POINTS FOR ATTENTION

ORDER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Confirm Product Grade and Specification Please inform us of your application scenario, base material, formulation system and required technical indexes. We will recommend the most suitable grade, such as general purpose, low-foam, strong penetration or low-VOC grade.
2. Provide Quantity and Packaging Requirements Available packaging includes 25 kg plastic drums, 200 L drums and IBC tanks. We can also customize packaging, labels and outer cartons according to your export requirements.
3. Confirm Delivery and Logistics Please provide the delivery port or destination address. We will confirm lead time, shipping method, container loading plan and relevant documentation for your order.
4. Quality Assurance and After-sales Support Each batch is supplied with COA, TDS and MSDS. If performance deviation occurs under the recommended conditions, our technical team will assist with re-testing and formula adjustment.
Tip for Trial Order:
For new customers, we recommend an initial trial order of 25–200 kg to verify wetting effect, foam behavior and system compatibility before mass production.
USAGE NOTES
Recommended Dosage:
The typical addition level is 0.05–0.5% based on the total formulation weight. Dosage should be adjusted according to substrate surface energy, pigment content and production process.
Adding Method:
It is recommended to add the wetting agent during the mid-to-late stage of dispersion under moderate stirring. Avoid adding it too early in high-speed grinding to prevent unnecessary foam generation.
Compatibility Test:
Before industrial production, please conduct a compatibility test with your emulsion, thickener, dispersant and pigment slurry. Pay attention to changes in viscosity, foam, color and storage stability.
Storage and Handling:
Keep the product in a cool, dry and ventilated place. Avoid direct sunlight and extreme temperature. The recommended storage temperature is 5–35℃. Keep containers tightly closed after use.
Operation Safety:
Wear appropriate protective equipment during handling. Avoid direct contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse thoroughly with clean water and seek medical advice if irritation persists.
COMMON FORMULAS
Formulation Type Main Components Recommended Wetting Agent
Water-based Interior Latex Paint Acrylic emulsion, titanium dioxide, filler, thickener, dispersant WT-100 / WT-400
Water-based Industrial Coating Modified acrylic resin, corrosion inhibitor, pigment, additive WT-300
High-speed Inkjet Ink Water-based resin, pigment, humectant, surfactant WT-200
Textile Dyeing Bath Dye, leveling agent, wetting agent, softener WT-100 / WT-300
Paper Coating Slip Kaolin, calcium carbonate, binder, dispersant WT-100
Agrochemical Spray Adjuvant Pesticide active ingredient, solvent, surfactant, water WT-300
Formula Design Principle:
In coating systems, the wetting agent is usually used together with dispersants and thickeners. In ink systems, priority should be given to low-foam and fast-drying grades. In pesticide systems, emphasis should be placed on droplet spreading and rainfastness.
COMMON PROBLEMS IN DOWNSTREAM PRODUCTION
Fisheyes and Craters on Coating Film Poor substrate wetting or incompatibility between additives may cause film defects. Solution: Increase WT-300 or replace part of the general wetting agent.
Excessive Foam During Production Adding wetting agent too early during high-speed dispersion can introduce stable foam. Solution: Use WT-200 and add it in the mid-to-late stirring stage.
Poor Pigment Dispersion Stability Improper surfactant selection may affect pigment flocculation and storage stability. Solution: Check compatibility with dispersant and reduce wetting agent dosage.
Uneven Ink Color Density Ink may not spread uniformly on film or coated paper, resulting in color deviation. Solution: Choose WT-200 and optimize surface tension to 22–26 mN/m.
Dye Spotting on Textile Fabric Poor wetting and penetration may cause uneven dye absorption in fiber bundles. Solution: Apply WT-300 in the pretreatment or dye bath stage.
Droplet Rolling on Foliage Pesticide or fertilizer droplets may bounce off waxy leaf surfaces and reduce uptake. Solution: Use WT-300 as a spreading adjuvant and improve coverage uniformity.
